COURSE
DESCRIPTION:
This course is designed to remedy students’ weaknesses in the use of English and to upgrade their level of proficiency. It covers the major aspects of grammar and writing.
COURSE OUTCOMES:
By the end of the course, students should be able to:Use grammatical structures accurately and appropriately in context.

- Nouns, Pronouns, Verbs(including modal auxiliaries),
- Adjectives, Adverbs, Prepositions, Articles and Determiners
- Tenses
- Simple Present Tense, Present Continuous Tense,
- Simple Past Tense, Past Continuous Tense, Simple Future Tense,
- Other Ways of Expressing the Future, Present Perfect Tense,
Past Perfect Tense
- Passive Voice
Writing
- Simple sentences
- Compound sentences
- Complex sentences
- Discourse markers
- Paragraph writing
- Essay writing
